Update: Bowls is currently open for catering only until further notice.
If you’ve been paying close attention to the news this week (as all of us at Bowls have), you’ve no doubt been a little overwhelmed by the worrying news about the COVID-19 coronavirus. The world at large is trying its best to navigate the rapidly evolving situation surrounding the spread of COVID-19. Because of this, every one of us has a part to play in “flattening the curve” in order to slow the spread.
We share your concerns. At Bowls, the health and safety of our customers and staff has always been our #1 priority. That won’t change. Beyond that, we’ve come to develop a very close relationship with many of our customers who have come to rely on our delicious, nourishing, and quick food. So it’s our hope that we can reassure you on some key issues.
First: Bowls, like all restaurants, is required by the Health Department to meet stringent requirements when it comes to cleaning and sanitizing and in preparing, cooking, and serving food. We have consistently obtained the highest marks during our inspections obtaining an A grade as recently as our last inspection which was just a couple of weeks ago. We have several Serv-Safe food managers on staff, including our entire staff at the Milwaukee location. This is well above all requirements.
Additionally, last week we initiated additional cleaning procedures including more frequent sanitization of all surfaces touched by customers or employees in the restaurant. We have also added hand sanitizer near the register. We are monitoring the situation closely and out of an abundance of caution we have decided to make the following changes effective Monday, March 16 at our Milwaukee location:
We appreciate your business, understanding, and patience during this difficult time, and we’re committed to helping you weather this crisis.
